Fuji Saku was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. I had the standard omakase, and every course was beautifully prepared and presented. The tuna, shrimp, and even the wasabi were exceptional. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth. I’m normally not a big fan of sashimi or raw seafood because it often upsets my stomach back home in the U.S. Even after living in California and Hawaii, I could usually only eat a few pieces. Fuji Saku completely changed that. The fish was so fresh and clean-tasting that there was none of the fishiness I usually associate with raw seafood. Had raw oysters as well, and it was sweet and buttery. The restaurant is run by a single chef, and you can see the care and craftsmanship in every piece. An older woman was serving guests throughout the meal possibly his mother and her warmth and hospitality made the experience feel even more personal and welcoming. If you’re looking for an authentic and memorable omakase experience, I highly recommend Fuji Saku. Easily the best sushi I’ve ever had. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I travelled about 40min from shibuya crossing to get here. It was honestly a wonderful reprieve from the overly crowded touristy area. I welcomed the more quiet and slow paced neighborhood that seemed to have a more local feel. If you love sushi, you must add this to your Tokyo list. I got the standard chef course as well as two of their highballs and two fresh oysters from Hokkaido and Mie prefecture. Everything tasted so fresh. The miso soup is hands down one of the best miso soups ive had. The shrimp heads really add this wonderful layer of umami flavors. I love shrimp heads so I did have to suck the juices out of them! The service is top tier. There is an easy and genuine charm from the lady and gentleman running Fujisaku. I am certain many people return not just for the food but for them as well. I love to travel across North America, Europe, and Asia just to try food/drink places. This was one of my favorite sushi spots for its authenticity, quality, and also very reasonable price point. My favourite meal in Tokyo. I loved the chef and the server. Even though neither of us spoke each others’ languages, I had 0 issues communicating. The omakase was spot on. Please come and eat here to support them - it’s truly a small business that can do with all the customers it can get. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
