Our favourite meal in Japan. We came back twice while In Hiroshima for 3 nights. 10/10 Recommend to everyone to try. The best curry ever, so much flavour. A tiny restaurant with the sweetest lady cooking your curry infront of you. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I came back to Hiroshima especially for this restaurant. Located on a corner, one street up from the shopping street, Gariber’s seating is about 10 bar stools surrounding a pot of curry and a frying pan. It’s quaint and simple, one curry and you choose what protein or vegetable you would like in the curry. Only other choice is the spice level. It’s ready in about 5 min and you’re out in 15. Both times I’ve been here there are two people working, one preparing the curry while the other serves up your plate of rice. Included is a glass of ice water and a fresh little salad to balance the richness of the curry. Easy and straightforward, they have an English menu and I’ve also always been served with a smile.
