The bathroom near the stage can hear the flushing. Do not go while someone has the microphone

Some friends and I frequented the Gaslight and the Four Winds in the 60's. One of the owners of both places was Ed Simons. Does anyone know where he went after Four Winds closed in 1971?

I was the attorney for The Gaslight and Four Winds Cafe in the 60's when Ed Simon was the owner. We fought many summons for alleged violations of the Cabaret Law, on first Amendment grounds, with the cooperation of notables like Allan Ginsberg. The law, which dated back to prohibition, prohibited singing without a Cabaret license, which was most difficult to get. Now, in 2017, the NYC City Council is about to annul that law.
