Goldies is such a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. What I love most about it is how incredibly versatile the space feels. It completely suits both needs—you can easily pop in to sit int he courtyard and catch up over a casual drink, or settle in at a table for a proper, delicious meal. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance of feeling vibrant yet relaxed, the staff are all so friendly and the menu delivers every time. It’s quickly become a go-to spot whether we're looking for a full dinner or just a quick afternoon wind-down. Highly recommend the cocktails! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's hard to write this review without sounding like I'm exaggerating. I think Goldie's is probably one of the best restaurants in the country. The food is hot and tasty - its well seasoned, well cooked and had a tonne of flavour. Its simple and unpretentious which is a theme that is reflected through the whole restaurant including the service, decor and music. It's so well balanced in everything it does and Napier is so lucky to have this little gem and as I don't live here I'm very jealous. I lived in Melbourne for a long time and it's got a very Collingwood/Brunswick feel to it and so felt nostalgic to visit and enjoy. I need to figure out a way to get here again soon.
