The food was so good and our server was so kind, but our experience was not great. Our reservation was at 8:15 and we were told at 8:40 that the bar closes at 8:45?? Why would they allow reservations at 8:15 if the bar closes 30 min later? Then the bartender started cleaning and closing around us and another table while we ate our appetizers. Not trying to be quiet about it at all. We were rushed out and our poor server tried his best to make our experience good despite this. I expect this from a more casual restaurant with lower prices, but not this place. Not a good look! They would benefit from some better service standards trainings or something. Lots of potential. The only authentic thing about this place was the waitress, who was an absolute treasure. The meatballs somehow had more spices in them than curry chicken, and for a place with “Gravy” in the name, the sauce was probably the biggest disappointment. I grew up in an all-Italian family and have been cooking since I was eight years old, so I’m pretty familiar with what this food is supposed to taste like. This wasn’t even close. I ate what I could, and I’m genuinely not a picky eater, but the food itself barely deserves one star. It honestly blows my mind that this place has so many good ratings. Apparently, you can throw the word “authentic” around and people will believe just about anything. Any stars beyond the first are entirely for our waitress. She was fantastic, incredibly kind, and easily the best part of the experience. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
