I had the opportunity to work with HVEN both as an event organizer and a DJ, and overall it was a positive experience. The owner is very friendly and easy to communicate with, and fluent English speaker, which makes coordination much easier for international artists and organizers. The venue has a very unique atmosphere. The visual style and interior design are outstanding, it’s rare to see clubs with such a strong and distinctive aesthetic. It’s a memorable place with a character that stands out from many other venues. The team works professionally and quite efficiently, and the venue provides useful documentation for organizers, which helps with planning events. There were a few things that could be improved from an organizer’s perspective. At one point we had already published our event poster and provided the promotional materials to the venue, but later we were informed that the logo placement did not match their brand guidelines. Since this requirement had not been communicated in advance, we had to redesign the poster and re-announce the event. Similarly, we worked with the venue on a 50% venue rental arrangement, but the minimum tickets price requirement was not clearly communicated beforehand. Because of this, we had to adjust the ticket pricing after the announcement and publish updated information again. In terms of the space itself, the venue turned out to be smaller than I expected based on the photos and documentation, although this wasn’t a major issue. The dancefloor and DJ booth are located in a separate room, which creates an interesting layout but can feel a bit tight during busy moments. The PA system is very powerful for the size of the room, which sometimes caused resonance and made the sound less clean than it could be. Some artists also mentioned that the wireless microphone signal occasionally dropped, which became a noticeable technical issue. Another small detail - the doors can be confusing to navigate, which sounds funny but several visitors (including myself) were unsure which way to open them lol. The dressing room is extremely small and doesn’t really provide space to relax, although it does have a mirror for artists preparing before the show. Drinks are quite expensive, and some visitors mentioned that even a glass of water had to be purchased, although the bar staff kindly gave me water for free. Despite these points, the venue has a very special atmosphere and identity, and it remains a memorable place. I would still be happy to collaborate with HVEN again in the future.
