This is a comic book themed establishment and an ode to nerds everywhere. TL; DR at the bottom -------- Pros: -This is a wonderful restaurant, where the staff followed food safety protocols to a T. -They were accommodating to my allergy requests. -The food is delicious and reasonably priced. -The staff and patrons are very friendly. -They are open much later then other places in baltimore. -You can read comic books and watch super hero movies, while eating good food with good company. - When the kitchen was out of my preferred ingredients, staff asked politely about alternative preferences. Very kind of them. - Wings are VERY good. Cons/ things to keep in mind: -The inside of the store is very small. There is only a small counter and two chairs for eating in. So this is a carry out place. - If you are sensitive to noise, they have comic book themed media playing on a tv, and in such a small space it can feel very loud. - The business' use of AI threw me off. During my visit, the co-owner was telling me some VERY wrong information about a field I work in because they were being mislead by chat gpt. Then showed me a chat gtp conversation, that was telling him wrong information, as proof. Their logo is also generative ai. The local area is made up of colleges. Several of them being art colleges, and the local population of students seem very hesitant (if not vitriolic) about trying Hero Street Kitchen due to the logo. ----- I gave it a chance anyway and had a lovely time. Food is good, the neighborhood is nice. It was reasonably priced, the vibes were immaculate. Me and my partner will be visiting again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure Dietary restrictions: Inform staff about allergies before hand and they will use extra precaution with your order. Most potential allergens can be avoided with an alternative menu item.
