Pretty disappointing experience given the high Google reviews. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the special of the day, a seafood pasta with half a lobster. Unfortunately, the seafood pasta was a major letdown. The lobster meat was dark, with an off texture that did not taste or look fresh. The prawns were also discoloured, and the dish had a pungent seafood smell that you just don't get with fresh seafood pasta. Because of this, we were completely unable to finish the main course. Having eaten incredible seafood across Greece, Venice, and Florence, we knew something was off.When the waiter asked how everything was, we raised our concerns, but they insisted it was impossible and that the seafood was "maximum 1–2 days old." Unfortunately, that just didn't match the quality on our plates. We really wished for a great experience, especially since our time in Rome is so short. To their credit, they did take €15 off the final bill, but it still didn't make up for the disappointing main course. On a positive note, the Caprese salad and beef carpaccio antipasti were nice. Auf unser sightseeing tour haben wir einen zwischenstop in der Hostaria de' Pastini gemacht. Die Bruschettas und der Aperol Spritz waren lecker. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20
