My husband and I had reservations for our first time going to ITA Kitchen in Bay Shore. We received a cold greeting from the hostess who sat us in a corner by the bar when there were plenty of open tables in the dining room. We asked to be moved to a table away from the bar and she sat us literally on top of another family when we walked passed wide open tables. My husband now requested to sit in one of the open tables and we were next to the door where it was freezing. The server was a nice young lady, but not on top of taking our order and bringing bread to the table. We had to ask 3 times if we could get bread and it seemed to us that now we were annoying to her. The food came and she never followed up to see how we were doing until we wanted the check. The only thing to save this dinner was the manager, David, came by to see how we were doing and discounted our check. Unfortunately, we will never go back there because the experience overall was truly unpleasant. We will find another restaurant for our next date night.
