For an entire week, this became our morning ritual in Rome, and we loved every single visit. The food was consistently delicious, the coffee and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was exactly what you hope to find while wandering the streets of Rome. But what truly made this place special was the staff. Every morning we were welcomed with genuine warmth, friendly smiles, and outstanding service that made us feel like regulars from day one. It’s rare to find a place where the food, drinks, service, and overall experience are all equally fantastic, but that’s exactly what we found at Piccolo Bar. By the end of our trip, breakfast here had become one of our favorite memories of Rome. If you’re visiting Rome and looking for a place to start your day, don’t miss this little gem. I was disappointed by the staff’s behavior. We asked about an item on the menu called “Macedonia.” Shortly afterward, a staff member made a disrespectful remark about one of the people in our group, apparently not realizing that we were together. To be clear, we are from Bulgaria, not North Macedonia, which made the comment even more confusing and inappropriate. We found this behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. As tourists, this left a negative impression of the service and atmosphere. This was very unprofessional behavior, especially for a café in the city center that is full of tourists.
