Come for a meal right after visiting North Carolina Museum of Art. This restaurant offers its visitors Irish cuisine. Taste nicely cooked eggs benedict, pork and crabs. Try good ice cream, biscuits and Scones to form your opinion about Iris. As a number of guests say, Mimosas are really delicious. A lot of visitors order great coffee or good tea.

This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Fair prices are what you are to pay for your meal. The beautiful decor and charming atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. This spot scored 4.5 in the Google rating system.

This place definitely got their marketing down. They use all the right words and all the wrong ingredients. The $21 “heirloom tomato panzanella” was mostly croutons with a few generic cherry tomatoes, drenched in puckery vinegar. I’m glad I chose to add salmon which was cooked well. The kids grilled cheese sandwich was made with kraft singles which hardly counts as “cheese”. My husband got the eggplant caponata on flat bread which proved to be the best option. Finally we ordered coffee from the “barista” menu. while the cortado came in the appropriate glass, they made my husband’s cappuccino in a very tall glass mug. Not a terrible option if you happen to be visiting the museum (which is amazing!) but don’t expect the elevated experience they make it out to be. Just overpriced mediocre food. Price per person: $30–40

Had out of town relatives in. Stopping for lunch at the Art Museum was great. I just needed a snack and the falafel balls were tasty. Two people had the burgers which they said were excellent Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful but the service left a bit too be desired. I suspect they were very under staffed the day we ate lunch at Iris. Our server (she never shared her name) was pleasant enough but I think she was working about a dozen tables, so she was less than attentive. We ordered a bottle of Rose & it was served warm. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience & we'll be back because it is a lovely place & supporting NCMA is worth a few minor service snafus. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
$$$$ Price range per person $20-$30
