Food was ok to not good across our party. The peices on the check for most of our meals were makes up compared to the listed price on the menu, very deceptive .service was ok. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We would give the food itself 5 stars as it was genuinely delicious! The service staff was fine, but the rest was kind of disappointing for us: The smoke from the wood-fired oven was spread throughout the dining room via the air conditioning, so all our clothes ended up smelling terrible. As you can imagine this is especially frustrating when you’re traveling. Four dishes on the menu were unavailable because a “large” group of six people had ordered them before us. This meant, for example, that none of the pasta dishes were available. Maybe this is normal at the end of November and out of season, but at these prices we would expect more reliability. We understand that you don’t want to waste food, but if you want to present yourselves as an Italian restaurant, you really need to have pasta available. The room was filled with very loud classical music that didn’t match the atmosphere at all and came across as somewhat pretentious to us. Of course, that’s a matter of taste, but it felt like as though the place was trying too hard to seem upscale. So even though the interior design is unique and the food was excellent, we think there are several things that should be improved, especially for a restaurant in this price class. I visited Italika last night with a friend and had a great experience. The ambiance was really pleasant — stylish, calm, and a bit unique with mirrors on the ceiling that added to the atmosphere. The place was quiet and didn’t require a reservation, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. I ordered the lasagna, and my friend had the fettuccine Alfredo — both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. Our server, Hector, provided impeccable service throughout the evening: attentive, friendly, and genuinely professional. We sat right under the air conditioner, which was perfect for a warm Tulum night. 100% I'm leaving a review because of Hector's service. Thank you, Hector.
