Walking in, place is bigger than it seems and very inviting. It was very clean, well kept & warm. They let us seat ourselves & didn’t rush the order process. Meet is HUGE so you definitely need to look over it. During this time, I enjoyed all the possibly options & cute decor of the place. Food was very delicious! I only took off one star because it wasn’t very hot coming out, but otherwise perfect. Meat was tender & seasoned well. Definitely recommend this place. Good prices, service & vibes. My very first experience with curry was at an amazingly delicious Nepalese restaurant in Tokyo, so I was excited to try Kasthamandap out. When I walked in, the dining room was empty, the tables looked a little dirty, and there were flies everywhere. I didn't want to make a negative judgement based on that. Hot day. Place is rated well. Maybe it was an off time or day. When I told them I was interested in ordering take out the server made it clear they weren't thrilled. Got the impression maybe they get by on uber and take out so guy was probably just bored/disappointed, so I didn't give it much thought. I placed my order. I got the butter chicken curry meal set plus did the upgrade to garlic cheese Naan and added a drink and salad.The pre-taxx total should have been approximately 1800円. For some reason I was charged over 2500円 instead. Receipt never came through in text as requested so I can't see why I was charged so much more and was too tired to think about questioning it in the moment. Mango Lassi was more like mango juice. It wasn't very good, none of the smooth delight of a typical Lassi. The curry was very thick, not bad per se but tasted a little different to me than normal. The Naan was a disappointment. Didn't taste very fresh. Kababs meal was tastier, cheaper, and came with more friendly service. Did not suit my taste buds, I will not return.
