After enjoying St Juraj’s Inlet, it may be a nice idea to visit this restaurant. Good sandwiches, hamburgers and salads are the tastiest dishes. A lot of people find that you can have delicious wine or good beer at Riva restaurant. It might be cool to enjoy great espresso.

We chose the restaurant because it had Vis homegrown lamb. The waitress was a lovely king and attentive lady called Melissa. We both had the lamb and the portion and cuts were excellent. The grilled vegetables were equally delicious. Prices were not extravagant as other places on the island are. All in all a great restaurant opposite the parked yachts and great food. Try it.

Restaurant Riva is located right on the waterfront (riva) of the town of Vis. The food is average, I'd rate it 3/5 - nothing particularly bad, but nothing that makes the place stand out either. The main problem for me was the noise. One evening (September 1, 2026) a group of 7-10 middle-aged men and a couple of women sang from 7 PM until 6 AM the next morning. Until midnight, the restaurant's doors and windows were wide open, and this group of loud and inconsiderate people was extremely noisy. Between 11 PM and midnight, they were also lighting flares, like at football matches, right in the middle of a tourist town full of guests and children. Police drove by around midnight, but didn't even go inside - they just briefly spoke with a waiter who came out to meet them. After that, the flares stopped, but the incredible noise from the singing and music didn't decrease at all - it continued at the same intensity. Around 5 AM, the same group started coming back outside, talking loudly, and continued singing until 6 AM. This kind of behavior, combined with a complete lack of response from the staff to the noise, makes staying anywhere near the restaurant impossible for guests who want a peaceful night. This applies not only to accommodation near the restaurant, but equally to the sailboat moorings across the way - the sailors seemed to experience and hear the noise the most of anyone. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Vis. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30
