I’d been wanting to go here for a while and it did not disappoint! The staff were very attentive and delivered exemplary service with a welcome informal style. The food itself was simply stunning, with the varied menu championing Irish fare with Mediterranean flare. Eric and the team should be extremely proud of all their efforts! This restaurant is a must if you’re in Dublin!! Price per person: €70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely 5-star review!! This was my first time in Ireland. I didn't have much time. Because I was in a hurry to catch the plane, I didn't eat all day. After getting off the plane, I only visited the church. After leaving the church, I was chased by a Dublin man who might have been racist. I looked very young. He waved his fist at me and said, "You Asian fool with yellow skin should get out!" I was so scared that I ran and cried. He was still chasing me until he found another target and then left me. I was so scared that I casually hid in a restaurant with a large family and had a leg of lamb. However, the service was just so-so and the taste wasn't good either. I still didn't have enough to eat. I found Kicky's on the Michelin Guide. Before coming to Kicky's, I had already come to Kicky's. The Kicky's team healed me. They brought me back to life! The person who received me was Heather. I didn't make a reservation, but as soon as I entered the door, she arranged everything for me very well and explained each dish to me in detail. She also recommended many of their signature dishes. Most importantly, Not only did she control the pace when I finished the main course and then served the dessert (she was the only one among all the restaurants I had visited who would proactively ask if the dessert was for a break or to be served now), but she also added hot water very promptly. This is extremely rare in European restaurants, and I was really touched! It was Ivet who served me the dishes. Every time she brought me a dish, she smiled from the bottom of her heart. Every time I saw her happy, my heart was very warm. Ivet's joy greatly healed the "attacks" I suffered from the "terrorists" I met on the road! I was very curious about that chicken rice. Edwin patiently explained it to me. Moreover, the joke he made made me laugh and also gave me some shock. Eric, who works in the kitchen, asked me where I was from. When I answered China, he said, "you are very welcome!" After the dish was served, this pasta was simply the most unforgettable pasta I had ever eaten in my life! I attach great importance to food and have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants. I've had a lot of pasta, but Kicky's is just right (especially not so hard, it's really just right), The cream is neither too thick nor too thin, and the dessert "The Irish Coffee" is just right sweet. I'm just right full at this moment. You know, for someone who has just experienced a huge shock, Kicky's service and taste are a gift from heaven! This is unique among the dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants I have visited! I wrote about Kicky's in my diary and specially wrote this five-star review for it. I'm leaving Dublin soon, but when I come to Dublin next time, I will definitely come to Kicky's again. Thank you, Kicky's. Thank you, Heather, Ivet, Eric and Edwin. You are the most precious memories of Dublin in my heart, my true "attractions", more important than any historical sites! Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Good- small plates were excellent- the gnocchi and focaccia were both delicious and a great start to the meal. The Bad - main course was very disappointing. The monkfish was extremely rubbery and tough, to the point that it was difficult to cut. It was also super salty. Two of us ordered it and both ended up sending it back. To the manager’s credit, they handled the situation very well. They apologized, were understanding, and offered to replace the dish. I initially chose the chicken, but was told it would take around 40 minutes, so we shared the striploin instead. Sadly, that was also underwhelming, as a large portion of it consisted of fatty pieces. Also the response from our waiter when we mentioned that the monkfish was rubbery, was full of sass. Rather than acknowledging the issue, we were simply told, “That’s the way it is“. It’s a shame because the starters showed real promise, and the manager’s professionalism was appreciated. However, the disappointing mains and the poor attitude from our waiter meant the overall experience fell well below expectations. Price per person: €80–90 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
