Today I tried a croissant cake from this place. The cake is not bad but I wasn’t impressed and let’s say I wouldn’t repurchase (there are better quality and cheaper options in the area). A few things that made me a very bad impression: - no prices or labels - prices are very high (compared to absolutely amazing authentic French bakery 5 min from them that sells boutique pastries) - it is very annoying that the card machine asks you to add a tip (for what ??? putting a pastry in a bag ???) Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

EXPENSIVE! Way too expensive. 4 brioches/pastries for £16 (approx) is way too much. That is £4.00 per item! Nice service, but overpriced. Special tourist pricing? Or is it this expensive for locals as well? Note: no prices indicated in the shop at all. Guess why .... You have to ask, you will say. Sure. My fault. AVOID. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Hi Marnix, We’re sorry to hear you felt disappointed with your visit. We do have our prices clearly displayed in all of our shops, and there is no difference between prices for locals or visitors. The price of our pastries reflects the cost of high-quality ingredients, the time and skill involved in making them, and the rising costs of running an independent bakery. We understand our products may not be within everyone’s budget, but we remain committed to offering the best quality we can.

I want to love this place but the prices are really high for what they offer. Do they have great pastries? Absolutely. Great sandwiches too. But you can get just as good 10 minutes away for less. Their breads are great and it's hard to find a good selection of fresh bread in the area, so I'll buy them from time to time but for pastries I'll usually go elsewhere. They don't tend to change their offer too much and introduce new breads which is a shame. Coffee is fine. You're asked for a tip on the machine which I don't particularly enjoy when the staff is looking at you as you pay. But overall it's fine. If you're really local and want a place 5min from your house, then Twelve Triangles is a great option if you don't mind paying a lot. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
