A MICHELIN star: cuisine of great finesse. Worth the step!
Simple standard.

The interior follows Japanese tradition with pale wood, warm lighting and fabric-wrapped panels. Niigata rice is seasoned with three vinegars, including akazu that gives depth and umami. The owner also imports sake and the list changes constantly to match the seasonal ingredients available. This relaxed sushi spot also serves cooked dishes if pre-ordered... More info

5 stars for the food, 1 star for the experience. Won't come back. I visited Kitcho with a friend last year for dinner. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, my whole evening was ruined by a very disruptive male customer who arrived in shorts, spoke loudly enough for the entire bar to hear, and engaged in vulgar and inappropriate conversations with his female companion who appeared to be his mistress. After enduring this for some time, we asked the waitress to intervene. The guest quieted briefly but soon resumed. He was also loudly chatting with a sushi chef, who continued the conversation instead of helping maintain a respectful environment for other guests. NO staff member or the chef took meaningful initiative to address the situation despite clear discomfort around them. Other guests have also given side looks to that duo. A professional kitchen demands respect for the craft and for fellow diners. Regrettably, that standard was not upheld here. Even if you know the chef, one should still be respectful to other guests. Awful experience, not what I expected. Will not be returning. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
