Not only should Rye Castle Museum be visited, but also Knoops. If you have never tried Vegetarian and Vegan cuisines, you should reserve a table and try the menu at this cafe. The cooks here prepare good soup and tasty pies. Nicely cooked chocolate marshmallows, biscuits and chocolate ice cream have a nice taste. Knoops offers you delicious bitter, grand marnier or amaretto. A lot of visitors order great white hot chocolate, orange milkshakes or chocolate frappe.

Perfect every time, whether you’re a fan of your chocolate hot, iced or in a milkshake. We have been regular visitors since the first Knoops opened in Rye and Jens himself was running it and serving customers. While it is sad to no longer see him behind the counter and hear of his travels in search of incredible chocolate, the product standard is still second to none. I have visited other branches too and while service standards vary, the drinks are delicious across the board. There’s even mini versions for kids!

I would say nice hot chocolates but really terrible manners we were really excited but then to go into a hot chocolate place and have people be grumpy and moody really ruins your day…
