The atmosphere is lovely, the staff (all two of them, a host and a lone chef) we're very nice and attentive. It was a rainy Sunday evening and I was just glad they were open. But the food wasn't what I expected. The "Caesar" salad was all radiccio (somewhat bitter) with a creamy dressing and shredded chicken. Unusual. Many other items on the menu has descriptions, the salad didn't, but I assumed it was because everyone knows what to expect! I made the rookie mistake of accepting a bread basket and water, so being charged for the bottle of mineral water and the bread was my bad. I knew better but I was very tired. The host tried to remove the bread before my pasta arrived (isn't that what it's for?) The carbonara was pretty good, nice crispy guanciale. I expected al dente, but this just barely shy of still crunchy. So.... It was ok. Normally I wouldn't even bother with a so-so review, but this was my first dinner on a vacation and it just left me unsatisfied. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
