Absolutely incredible Neapolitan pizza in a brilliant setting at Court Farm in Upper Halling. Perfectly cooked authentic pizzas with that proper light, airy crust and amazing fresh toppings. The atmosphere is fantastic, being right next to Moot Brewery & Tap Room — the perfect combination of great beer and outstanding food. Friendly service, relaxed vibe, and easily one of the best pizza spots around. Worth travelling for. 5 stars all day long! Pretty okay-tasting pizza, quickly made to order, that appears mostly freshly made (the toppings I'm not so sure). It's nothing compared to authentic Italian but for the area it's just okay, better than Dominoes but only on merit of being based on natural ingredients. I've noticed their reviews are overwhelmingly positive and wanted to offer some balance and honest feedback. I've sadly found their pizzas are mostly crust/dough and the toppings are pretty sparse in all honesty, meaning that the pizzas are overall much too dry. It's probably a cost-cutting method, but I don't want to pay £16 for cooked pizza dough with barely any toppings! They market their dipping sauces (at an additional cost) as a solution to all the crust you'll have leftover to try to reclaim some moisture. But that's not a fair solution. The prices have unfortunately jumped up from the original £12 to £16 for their offer ‘pizza & pint’ (looks like it's a tinny rather than draught though?). These are London prices out in Kent for incomplete pizzas. Go to Franco Manca, or even Pizza Express or Prezzo and the pizzas are worlds apart from this. Example: Franco Manca charges £12.75 for its prosciutto e fungi pizza with dough that's proved for 24 hrs. And that's in a nice sit-down restaurant. I've recently tried Slingers' veggie pizza which was supposed to feature pesto, mushroom, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. The pizza was served without any tomatoes (as they'd promised in the item description), and I suspect the pesto wasn't freshly made and was just bought from the supermarket. If you run out of ingredients, fine, but please mention it ahead of time or offer a fair discount! Their garlic bread has a similar issue, stingy on the toppings and you're left with a bunch of dry dough. As for the atmosphere, not great as the farm buildings block any view down the Medway valley. It's an enclosed courtyard with rough gravel underfoot in their seating area. I understand that Slingers Pizza have limited control over the atmosphere as they're commercial tenants at the farm, but I have to mention what I make of the atmosphere nonetheless, it needs some TLC and in an ideal world relocation to somewhere with a nice view. Up the ridge near the treeline would be phenomenal or even just around the corner where the carpark is offers a better view. Hi Tom, firstly thank you for your review and your feedback. Positive or not it helps us improve and as a very small and very new company that really is critical. There does appear to be some misunderstandings with regards to our menu, pricing and the ingredients you received which would definitely explain some of your experience. I would love the opportunity to talk with you about those in-person and get your interpretation so as to avoid anyone else being dissapointed. Many thanks, Louis
