I used to order here every night but they increased the price hugely and a plate is $15 but it comes with mostly rice and not enough protein. About 3 stores up there is a supermarket that makes great food for a fraction of the price, it's called Bronx Marketplace. The food is just as good but costs about $6 to $7 less. A lunch of yellow rice, baked chicken, spaghetti and ripe plantains costs $12, at Libertos the same dish costs $17-$18 and has less chicken. Plus, the service is a million times better because the supermarket owner is usually on site and will make accommodations to serve you when possible, especially if he sees you every day. Freedmen's management focuses solely on satisfying their Dominican clients and some of them have quite the attitude. The food is good, no doubt, but you can enjoy similar quality for a fraction of the price. It is better to go to the “Bronx Marketplace and deli” i used to order here every night but they raised the price massively and one plate cost $15 but it comes with mostly rice not enough protein. about 3 stores up there is a supermarket that makes banging food for a portion of the price, its called Bronx marketplace. The food is just as good but like $6-$7 dollars less. a lunch of yellow rice, baked chicken, spaghetti and sweet plantains cost $12. The same exact plate costs $17-$18 in liberators and it brings less chicken. Also the service there is a million times better because the owner of the supermarket is often on site and will make alterations to accommodate you when possible, especially if he sees you every day. The management of liberatos is just focused on satisfying their Dominican patrons and some of them have quite the attitude. The food is good no doubt but you can enjoy similar quality for a fraction of the price. Better to go to Bronx marketplace and deli located 20 seconds away Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
