No-frills outdoor seating but “genuinely some really good cochinita tacos” as I wrote in my notes. I do prefer the CDMX-style guac, but sliced avo seems to be the norm in the Yucatán - avo was creamy as usual tho! I really liked the salbutes - get all three different types and don’t skip the chaya with piña! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

They say when in Mexico whenever you go for tacos to a food stall, 9/10 times they’re gonna be delicious. This was this unfortunate 10th time. Dry meat in both cochinita and rello negro, obersoaked tortillas that would just not hold up. Overall it was a no.

If you’re looking for the best local food and yucateco flavor you have to come here. Located in the heart of Merida. Look specifically at “lonchería rani” and ask for mercy. She’s the best, attitude, costumer service and best food ever!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
