I have been to this restaurant a few times. We enjoy the food. But service is to be improved. I ordered soup dumplings today. We waited for a long time, didn’t get those. The tables around us sitting down later than us got theirs first. I asked the waitress, he told me that they mixed up the orders. So I asked him to expedite it. 10 minutes later, I went to check and my order was still in the middle of the queue to be worked on. very disappointed. Food: 4 Service: 1 Meal type: Lunch

This was our first visit to Loves Dumpling House with a party of 5. The restaurant itself is pretty small, and when we arrived the waiting area was packed with both dine-in and takeout customers. There were several parties ahead of us, but the line moved fairly quickly and we were eventually seated near the register. It was extremely busy during our visit, and service seemed overwhelmed at times. We waited quite a while before our order was taken, and I eventually had to go to the register to request assistance. We also had to ask separately for plates, utensils, and straws. Once we finally ordered, the food did come out pretty quickly. The dumplings we tried were good, though not particularly memorable or exceptional. The salt and pepper wings were crispy, but unfortunately lacked seasoning and flavor. One thing we did appreciate was the restaurant acknowledging the long wait and service delays by bringing our table a complimentary order of fried sesame balls. Since we never complained or asked for compensation, the gesture was appreciated at the time. However, I later realized the dish had actually been added to our bill. I’ll take some accountability because I should have reviewed the receipt more carefully before paying, especially since we ordered many dishes and everything else appeared accurate. This may have simply been an off night due to how busy they were, but as a first-time experience, it unfortunately did not meet our expectations.
