My wife and I are from North Carolina and were delighted to find a New Orleans restaurant in Boulder, Colorado. So, in New Orleans they make their biscuits 3 or 4 times bigger than my mother and aunts made the but New Oleans style is fluffier. Collards are on the menu all day long and are exactly as I remember them. We didn't make shrimp and grits when I was in NC, but they do a Lucille's and they are delicious. They will also offer you fish with your eggs for breakfast, trout, I belive it was. The decor is a bit run-down and, since an old two-storey house was adapted for the restaurant, the quarters are a bit tight, but the food is excellent, apparently, Louisiana home cooking.
Wonderful place. Great food. Good service. Love the waffle.
Absolutely amazing! I was visiting my friend in Boulder and she already knew she wanted to take me here and it did not disappoint. Service was amazing and attentive. Beignets were first and SO GOOD!! I had the French toast and my friend the eggs with the biscuit (I apologize I don't remember the specific name from the menu). The biscuit is to die for! I was glad we were able to take some home and I had some for breakfast the next day. Overall Lucile's was a great experience
