Avoid at All Costs – Worst Meal and Service in Greece My husband and I had an awful experience at Lux Café on October 17, 2025 and genuinely cannot understand how this place has so many good reviews. We’ve spent two weeks in Greece and this was, without question, the worst food and service we’ve encountered — both while traveling and back home. We arrived around 12:00 PM and ordered drinks — I ordered a cocktail, and my husband ordered water. I was told we couldn’t order sushi until 1:00 PM, which was fine, but nowhere on their menu, website, or signage did it say this. We decided to wait since the reviews were so positive. I received my cocktail, but my husband never received his water. We had to flag someone down later just to get him a beer. I asked twice for menus — the first time at noon and again at 12:45 — and only then were they brought to us. Nobody returned to take our order until after 1:15 PM, and that was only because I finally asked the bus boy if he could get someone for us. By this point, we were ready to leave cash for the drinks and go — it was ridiculous how long we had been ignored. A group of 4 who arrived after us was served drinks and their meals, and gone before anyone even took our order. Another couple who arrived later was immediately greeted and served water. My husband and I were polite and patient, but for some reason, we were treated terribly. When our food finally came, my husband’s meal arrived 10 minutes before mine, so he finished eating before I even got my plate. My dish — the pork dumplings — was barely cooked, still pink inside, and genuinely inedible. I couldn’t finish them. The sushi was also the worst I’ve ever had, the tuna was noticeably tough and had no flavor. To make matters worse, it took another 10 minutes just to get our bill after I again had to ask the bus boy for help because our waitress was clearly avoiding our table. I finally had to stand up and stop her as she walked by to pay and leave. This place was a huge disappointment and completely not worth the wait, money, or frustration. Avoid at all costs — there are so many better and friendlier restaurants on the marina where you’ll actually be treated like a guest.
