A MICHELIN star: cuisine of great finesse. Worth the step!
Very good standard.

More info

Couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience for our first Michelin star restaurant. Experienced the omakase menu for a birthday and we had such a great time. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and we had some of the most amazing pieces of fish we’ve ever had. We’d absolutely recommend this restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+

There were a few places I had been looking forward to visiting in Chicago, and today I finally made it to one of them—Mako. It was actually our very first stop after arriving in Chicago, and it did not disappoint. Watching Chef Park prepare each piece of sushi was an experience in itself. His hands moved with incredible speed and precision, but what impressed me most was the way his entire body seemed to move with the rhythm of his craft—almost like a dance. Each piece of sushi felt like a small work of art coming to life right in front of us. The entire experience was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend Mako to anyone visiting Chicago. Even more exciting, Chef Park is preparing to open a restaurant in New York soon. I’m already looking forward to it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+
