I recently visited Mamma G’s for a mother-daughter lunch with my daughter. The restaurant itself has a very elegant, cozy atmosphere that made for a lovely setting. I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly—almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, “Oh, okay, you’re just taking your time.” It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried. First, the Linguine in Clam Sauce and the Veal French with Linguini was delicious. The calamari on the other hand was just okay. Our dinners came with soup or salad and bread. There was a dessert case that had a variety of Cannolis and Tiramisu that looked good. Water was left in a large bottle to pour yourself and it was warm, so I ordered a glass of ice. I ordered a Diet Pepsi but it didn't taste the best. Other family members ordered beer that you could either have it in the bottle or a glass. The restaurant was crowded and the tables were too close together. Our table wobbled so something had to be put underneath to keep balanced. The kitchen was open and the heat from inside poured out into the dining room. I was sweating by the end of the night. The staff and waitress was friendly. There were a variety of servers helping our waitress in delivering our food. I'd probably come back when it's less busy and sit near the entrance of the restaurant because it seemed cooler. This new location looks nicer, but the service is terrible now. I’ve ordered pizza 3 times and it’s always burnt, but this last time it was extremely burnt after they got my order wrong twice Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
