Traditional Japanese food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is nice and the service is excellent. Just a heads up for vegetarians: there aren't many options beyond rice and potato wedges. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Manboutei is a Japanese restaurant with a sunfish signboard, located on the upbound side of Route 135, about a 10 minute walk from Izukogen Station. You can enjoy Japanese cuisine, mainly seafood from Izu, in an open interior with a high ceiling. There are so many types on the menu that I always get confused. I usually order seafood bowls, sashimi set meals, etc., but here they have a menu series called Ishiyaki-don that you won't find anywhere else, and this time I tried the ``Kin no Ishiyaki-don''. Grilled golden sea bream is served in a piping hot stoneware bowl along with rice and mustard greens. This is a fun dish that is eaten by pouring sweet and salty sauce over it and squishing the rice into a bowl to create a crust. You can change the taste with wasabi, then add dashi soup at the end and enjoy it as ochazuke. A delicious and fun dish. This is also possible. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
