Food at Marketeria

Nestled on the 6th floor of a building on Bond St, Marketeria is a convenient dining option near Toronto's Queen metro station. A straightforward and casual spot, it offers a mix of dining choices with options for takeaway or dine-in, catering to breakfast, lunch, and dessert tastes. While the menu includes standard fare like coffee, visitors note that certain days feature specific offerings like stir fry and pasta.

Marketeria is housed within a hospital, which might explain its somewhat cafeteria-like setup and mixed feedback on the food quality. From delicious chicken tenders to less favorable experiences, visitor reviews vary widely, and there hasn’t been any recent update from the establishment itself in over a year. With accessibility features such as wheelchair-accessible entrances, seating, and toilets, the restaurant ensures it caters to a diverse clientele.

Open weekdays from early morning until evening and offering shorter hours over the weekend, this moderate-price level spot accepts credit cards and meal vouchers. It's an ok place to grab a bite if you find yourself nearby and in need of a quick meal. However, those seeking more detailed or current information will find the lack of updates from Marketeria limiting.

Had two meals here. Breakfast was cold and burnt. Staff didn’t listen to my requests (gave me brown burnt toast instead of white/eggs were over hard. Asked for over easy). Let it go as family member was in surgery and I was exhausted. Came back for lunch. Tried the chicken tacos in the chef area. Two staff members working. Huge line up. Food was dry and cold despite being in warmers and it being lunch time. They ran out of items because the staff couldn’t go back and fill up food or get replacement shells. They told me they would give me the crumbs in the tray to make up for the taco shells. I opted not to have taco shells. Then no lettuce or cheese because they couldn’t leave the counter to fill up the bins. Watched them give a huge portion of everything to another staff member while I got a tiny spoonful of the fixings because there either wasn’t any or they were trying to portion what they had left for the rest of the line up. Staff was rude and impolite when I went to pay. I never said anything as it’s a hospital and I get we are all stressed. I didn’t want to break and lose my mind on them and that was how I felt. I just wanted a nice warm meal to make me feel bette and less stressed. Anyway long story short food was horrific, staff was rude, management didn’t have anything organized to run properly, overpriced. Please do better because in times like this we are just looking for some comfort and some of us find it in food. After spending the last 8hrs here and lots more to go, a decent meal would have been appreciated and polite and pleasant staff would have been well received. Absolute garbage food from chef and co. Ordered 2 hit dogs and a chicken sandwich and waited over 20 min. Guy making the food can't take an order while prepping a hotdog. People were lined up and leaving it was embarrassing. Also the Tim hortons was gross I ordered a hot chocolate and it tasted disgusting. Like they haven't cleaned the machine in who knows how long! Almost witnessed a full on fist fight between 2 of the female staff. Very unpleasant experience and garbage food. Certainly worth the trip to the Peter G side of hospital the Tim hortons there is the best one I have been at in a long time Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
