Closed and reopened as Oldestone Similar menu. Struggled when first open but pretty good now. Novel venue... old Methodist church complete with stained glass. Worth a visit complete with pews used for outside tables. When was the last time you were at a Methodist Church? :)

Hi Everyone, I am in the New Orleans area and saw this restaurant in New Hope and wanted to read the reviews not knowing the owner is from New Orleans. We went here with very high expectations and I don't want to say Marsha Brown missed the mark, exactly, because it was only lunch and a private party was booked in the second floor dining area so we ate at the bar, but our meal was less than spectacular. Although friendly, our server was a bit flighty. The shrimp and lobster bisque had appropriate seasoning for the restaurant's theme but lacked the signature creaminess of a traditional bisque. The crab cheesecake had good flavor though the smoked Gouda was a bit overpowering and the dish was served slightly below a more desirable temperature. We look forward to giving Marsha Brown's another chance because the dinner menu looks promising and the aesthetics of this converted church are fantastic.
