I was today years old when I learned about Massa's closing and I couldn't be more disappointed. Nothing is truly sacred anymore with the rage of the pandemic, but another notch on its COVID belt means another loss for the small biz community in LIC. I genuinely wish Bill Massa and his incredible pizza legacy, all the best. When they first made their debut in the neighborhood 3 years ago, they were among the only legit pizzerias in this sleepier part of the Queensboro Plaza. As the development of high rises and other businesses saturated the block with this yuppy pretension, it was Massa's that still provided an establishment that served the kind of pizza that made New York pizzerias the envy of out of towners. Legend has it that Bill is related to Patsy Grimaldi, who started the famous Brooklyn location and has been a household name in the NY pizza game ever since. The LIC Massa's was truly coal fired and the super thin slices were loaded with a really excellent sauce. It's easy to say I was a fan. The clam pizza was strangely addicting, but their classic margherita was always a big plus. I also appreciated the fact their delivery was on point. I realize that their prices were very much reminiscent of the LIC scene and owner Bill had lots of great ideas on making his place a fun local destination. I will miss the bar, the stand up comedy, and above all, the pizza.

Do not order from here! They are currently closed even though they say they are open on their website, Yelp, and google maps. I ordered a pizza online and when I went to pick it up, they were closed . I still got charged and haven't heard a word from them. This is con business!!!

Ordered online the other day and my card was charged. Tried calling, emailing, and showing up. No one responded, and their door still had all of their opening hours. They might be permanently closed unfortunately, but they should really let people know / stop charging people if that's the case.
