We stopped here while passing through Rochester. We loved the wide open space, the floors that creak with age, and the nostalgic decor. Newer coffee shops are all trying to reproduce this decor, whereas this place is legitimately nostalgic. The coffee was very good, and the service was excellent. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. We will definitely stop in again when we are in the area. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Mug has quickly become my go‑to spot for coffee, work, and just hanging out. It didn’t take long before it turned into the perfect place to meet up with friends or business associates. The historic building adds so much charm, and the owners have created a welcoming space with plenty of work areas, plug‑ins, and cozy couches for conversation. But honestly, it’s more than just a coffee shop. The staff feels like family...the kind of people you genuinely look forward to seeing and catching up with.
