I was really looking forward to trying Mochinut Raleigh, but my experience was unfortunately disappointing. When I arrived, it honestly looked like no one was even working. I assumed since the display was empty they were making fresh mochi donuts. After placing my order, I ended up waiting over 30 minutes for my mochi donuts, only for them to come out cold. The Ube donut, which is usually my favorite, was especially underwhelming. The color was a very light purple instead of the rich, deep purple I’m used to — and the flavor tasted more like plain sugar water than actual Ube. I get Ube donuts often, so this one definitely missed the mark. The staff didn’t seem very friendly or engaged, which made the overall atmosphere feel a bit off. I had driven two hours to try this location, so it was really disappointing to leave feeling let down. The shop has potential, but the service, wait time, and flavor quality all need major improvement to match the expectations and reputation Mochinut is known for.
