I went to Monarque to celebrate my Friend’s Birthday this past Saturday night. I had been searching Google for a place that was unique and Monarque popped up. I looked through the website and my curiosity was piqued! It was a special occasion, and it seemed this restaurant had it all! Food, drinks and entertainment! So, I thought we’d try it out. Reservations were for 7:45 and we arrived there on the dot. We were greeted immediately by the manager and a server and were seated as the first show was just getting underway. The ambiance reminded me of a place you’d expect to see in Montmartre. Dimly lit, curious decor an impressive bar, and a stage with burlesque and cabaret styled entertainment. We were loving it right away! Our server, Carla was right there and explained the menus. She then gave us a little time to look things over. The manager, Victor came by and made sure we were happy with our seating and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We started off by ordering a drink. The drink menu was astounding! Amazingly crafted cocktails that all sounded great. It was hard to pick just one! We made our choices and hands down one of the best mixed cocktails I’ve ever had. Mine had little flower garnishments and it was just as visually appealing as it was tasty. One of the things I was impressed with, was that they made sure to ask if we had any allergies right off the bat. It was nice to know that they cared and would work to accommodate around those if needed. The Food menu was also very impressive! After a few minutes trying to decide what we wanted to eat, we already decided that we were going to have to come back so we can try everything on the menu! The food was prepared in a very timely manner. The food…C'est magnifique!! The pairings and the flavors were all so amazing! Everything we ordered was amazing! Not one complaint, just perfect! Carla and Victor came around to check on things throughout and took such good care of us. They asked if it was a special occasion, and I told them we were celebrating my Friend’s Birthday. They brought out the most amazing dessert with a fun sparkler on top! The dessert was decadent as was the whole experience! Entertainment was perfect for that space! Good music, fun atmosphere, great costumes! I would honestly say that it’s one of the most memorable nights out I’ve ever had. They had a way of making us feel welcomed and special and just took excellent care with everything. It wasn’t just dinner…it was an experience. I believe places like this are what gives Baltimore its Charm…And, I can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $70–80

I stumbled into this lovely restaurant by mistake and it end up being a highlight of my night. I sat at the bar and ALL of the bartenders was just amazing. I was planning to just have one drink and moving on instead I stayed and enjoy my time at the bar. The drinks was good, but the staff is what made the night. I would highly suggest this place, and the music was good at as. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was amazing. However, the Tomahawk was medium rare and not medium well as requested. I am Immune compromised and I ran the risk of illness. So, $557.00 for the dinner was a waste of time and money. Because I could only eat the sides and a very small burnt piece of meat.
