My 46-year-old fella and I (a 45-year-old gal) just went to R Public House for dinner. We had a burger and fries, my man had a whiskey on the rocks, and I had two martinis. Neither of us were even remotely drunk and we felt like walking so we started heading South. We've lived in the neighborhood for years and had never been to Oasis so we figured we'd have another drink and then walk back home. We stood outside for a few minutes, the fella had a smoke, and before we even got to the door to go in, some bearded bouncer came out, said, "he looks a little inebriated for the bar" and then walked right back inside.
From the look of the place, they could surely use the business. But also from the look of the place, they clearly like their clientele to be of the younger variety. Since neither of us could have possibly even appeared drunk, I can only assume a coupled-up, older pair isn't the vibe they're looking for at their bar.
Keep that in mind, Loyola ladies.
