Ordered the Lion's Head meatballs with greens and rice and the eggplant with garlic sauce and rice for lunch. Both were super tasty but heavy with oil. I kind of expect lots of oil whenever I have eggplant (that's just the nature of the dish), but I wish the meatballs had less. I have to say, though, the meatballs were so tender and flavorful, as was the eggplant. If it had a bit less oil, both would have garnered five stars. The rice came separately, each order in its own take-out box. This was certainly a nice tasty change of pace for lunch during this awful pandemic. I would definitely order from Old Shanghai Restaurant again.
