If I could rate this place above 5/5, I would. The restaurant itself is very unassuming from the outside but once you step in, it’s anything but. We don’t speak French but our amazing server knew enough English to talk us through the menu and even some amazing recommendations. The food was so good, it became the benchmark for everything else we ate in Nice and nothing else came close. I don’t see myself returning to Nice but if I do, Origines will be one of my first stops. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €30–40 Kid-friendliness: I was a bit hesitant with restaurants in general because I wasn’t sure what the policy was with infants. I made a note to include a high chair at our table and it was provided without issue. Although my little one was only 11 months at the time, they even provided a place setting.

Had a wonderful dinner at Origines Italian Restaurant in Nice. We started with the beef tartare—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The pasta with veal ragu was outstanding and easily the highlight of the night. Finished with a homemade tiramisu that was the perfect ending. Great food, warm atmosphere, excellent service and a spot we’d definitely return to. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40
