Sanjo Meiten-gai is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this restaurant after long walks. Tasty tuna and perfectly cooked tempura can make a strong impression on you. The staff is said to be attentive here. Fine service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of Panari. You will certainly like the peaceful atmosphere and good decor. This place is ranked 4.2 within the Google grading system.

We were seated at the bench and came in before the dinner rush when the restaurant was fairly empty. We started with ordering only sashimi and drinks with the intention of ordering more later. It took over 40 minutes before we were told that we had to wait another 15+ minutes for the sashimi because the restaurant "had become busy." The three separate groups who had arrived about 10-20 minutes after we had ordered were served a full table of food and drinks just after we had been told this. It was frustrating watching other groups who had arrived later, have a full table of food while we were hungrily waiting extra time on a single order of sashimi. We almost decided we were going to pay for our drinks and leave, but then our order finally came after almost an hour of waiting. We decided not to order more and go to 7-11 for food instead. We thought it was poorly handled compared to other restaurants. We will/would not return here. Sashimi was fairly nice but not worth the wait. Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

Came here to have the set menu and all you can drink and I can say this place is fantastic! From its really cool decor and great Playlist the atmosphere is awesome. The food is also great and served dishes I have never until now had the chance to try coming from Canada. I loved the variety of dishes and freshness as well as, it felt you got a little bit of what hipster cuisine is in Japan not just the traditional dishes. The sea grapes were also awesome. The different cuts and pieces of the tuna from belly to eye were so fresh and gave a great variety of taste and texture that a blue fin can have. They also had a great variety of drinks and great Awamori which I have never had. Lastly the staff was so friendly and inviting despite my wife and I not knowing any Japanese they made us feel very welcome and made the whole experience chill and relaxing. Would recommend! ``Panari'' is quietly located on the second floor of a building just off Kawaramachi Street, a 3-minute walk from Sanjo Station and an 8-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. This shop is located in a building in an alley just up Kawaramachi Sanjo. It is a hidden location known only to those in the know. Warm color lighting The moody and stylish interior of the store Each section has different seating designs, such as semi-private sofa seats, round tables with sunken kotatsu, acrobatic attic private loft seats, and counter seats in front of the bar counter, similar to those at seaside food stalls. Shisa reminiscent of Okinawa, and more The walls are decorated with boldly painted wall art and art panels created by art students, creating an attractive urban-modern space that combines a cool, sharp marine-style interior with an Okinawan atmosphere. BGM is danceable hiphop, The round table with sunken kotatsu seats can be connected to a table to create a banquet seat for up to 24 people, and can be reserved for up to 30 to 40 people, making it ideal for the upcoming transportation season. The menu is a combination of seafood and Okinawan cuisine. In a space with a tropical atmosphere, the freshest bluefin tuna purchased from the market and Okinawan cuisine are on standby. There is a wide variety of drinks available, including Okinawa-style Orion beer and Awamori. For lunch, you can choose a few or eat all 5 types of mini rice bowls: Negitoro with eye meat, grilled cheek meat with mayo, famous ahi poke, red meat and sea grapes, and T.K.O-Tamagokake Okinawa-. This time, I chose the five types of mini rice bowl set. Negitoro with eye meat is made by pounding the eye meat with plenty of flavor, and is rich in collagen and vitamins, giving it a smooth texture. The grilled cheek mayo is made from a rare part of tuna cheek, and if it wasn't called tuna, it had a strong flavor and texture that would be mistaken for meat, and it goes perfectly with the mayonnaise. T.K.O-Tamagokake Okinawa-Hamozuku and sea grapes are combined with a rich egg, and a special sauce is added to make this exquisite egg-fried rice with a tropical taste that goes down smoothly. Ahi Poke is a great combination of lean meat and avocado, and can be eaten as is, or you can add an ethnic flavor to it with the sauce! The set comes with Arthur soup, giving it a luxurious and special feel. Panari's famous bluefin tuna platter is a deluxe plate where you can taste and compare rare parts of carefully selected bluefin tuna purchased directly from the central wholesale market. The contents are an assortment of eye meat, brain tempura, cheek meat, sukimi, red meat, and fatty tuna. Overwhelming sense of volume. The eye meat has a lot of fat and has a crunchy texture, the cheek meat has a unique texture, and the sukimi is lean and has no fat, making it lighter in comparison to the rest. ⁡The lean meat is soft, and the fatty tuna melts like light snow in your mouth. The condiments are wasabi, mustard, and grated garlic. The soy sauce is sweet soy sauce from Kyushu. The garlic mustard soy sauce that the store manager recommended is a sweet soy sauce with a punch of garlic, making it the perfect accompaniment to the tuna. Homemade plump shrimp with mayonnaise is a mouthwatering shrimp mayonnaise dish made with plump shrimp tossed with plenty of mayo. The accent is crispy fried gyoza skin, and the addition of paprika and lettuce makes it a delicious dish that doesn't feel junky. Ahi Poke is a well-known popular Hawaiian food, with tuna and avocado tossed in a homemade sauce, and mozuku (mozuku). Rafute (Okinawa-style braised pork) is slowly simmered in awamori and soy sauce for a whole day, so it's so tender you can't get your teeth into it, and the broth is the most delicious. Pineapple Orion is a beer cocktail made by mixing pineapple juice with Orion beer. A fruity drink recommended even for people who don't like beer. Awamori sangria is made by soaking fruits in awamori and setting it up like sangria! The photogenic, transparent and cool appearance is also attractive. In addition to the lunch menu, you can also order special dishes that are perfect for lunchtime drinks. In addition to lunches made with carefully selected tuna, we also offer tuna dishes, as well as classic fried chicken set meals, which are sure to keep you coming back for more. Hats off to the quality of the food overall, and non-alcoholic drinks are also available, so even non-adventurous people can enjoy it. Enjoy bluefin tuna and original Okinawan cuisine, with flavors that won't disappoint and a peaceful, homely space that can be used in a wide variety of situations, including entertainment, dinner parties, casual conversations and gatherings with friends, family, and loved ones. . The chic and calm atmosphere is perfect for a date, and the high quality and reasonable price range makes it perfect for daily use. Although the atmosphere is relaxed and casual, the service and hospitality are gentlemanly and friendly, and I take my hat off to the high level of customer service. The diverse menu is sure to keep you coming back. It was an oasis izakaya that was open throughout the day and was an attractive multi-purpose izakaya.
