A hidden gem, should be a popular local food-and-bar spot among younger crowds? I found it randomly when browsing nearby places around my hotel, drawn in to it because of the Google reviews and the nice good photos. Outstanding experience. As a solo, non-Japanese visitor, the owner went out of their best way to make me feel welcome. They also have the English menu with the QR code, easy for ordering. We came here on a recommendation from our hotel and - wow! Really good food and great fun. Think tapas Japanese style. You can certainly go big with the mains, but we found that jumping around the menu provided us with both amazing flavors and a chance to explore the creativity of this very talented chef team. We especially loved the innovative twists on classic Japanese flavors (like unagi pie and karaage with special sauce - so delicious!). And the service was both friendly and entertaining.
