Pancho's came highly recomended. Pancho's Taqueria and Mexican Cafe is okay. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican experience, but for the price, this is it. Of four adults three really enjoyed their food and portions were excessive but then you pay the price for two so it is understandable. Everyone took food home. Service is also what you'd expect in a cafe in Mexico. The whole Pancho's experience is like every small cafe I've eaten at in Mexico. If that's your thing you'll think you're there. I compare all tamales to my mother's home made. Pancho's tamales are fine. They are not well seasoned but not bad. I had the pork tamale. Oh, they're a good size and mine was well filled. The one warning is that when they say "served with sour cream and guacamole on a bed of lettuce", like describing the flautas, they mean a lot of lettuce disguised with a very small and not enough amount of sour cream and guacamole that looks like a lot cuz it's lightly spread over a pile of lettuce. They also don't have fresh pico. I was informed that since they make their pico ahead they could not provide diced tomatoes. So if you're a no cilantro person you are sadly out of luck. Hi Charles, Thanks for the review. Just to clarify about our pico de gallo. It is fresh made every day. We prep in the morning and use throughout the day. Prep means clean produce, dice tomato, onion, cilantro etc. in the AM. We then put it all together for the pico de gallo in batches. We don't keep diced tomatoes around in the cooler. Once the cel membranes are cut in tomatoes it begins to expel water, which is not good for pico. So, I don't know how it could be fresher than what we do now. I would never try to compare our tamales to your mothers tamales. Mom's Tamales will always be better unless you want a "chancla" thrown at you. Most Mexicans have a chancla story to tell. What I can tell you about our tamales is that they house made. As for the sour cream...we don't use a lot of sour cream in our dishes. The sour cream is only added for flavor enhancement. You can always ask for extra sour cream. This is a long explanation to your review, but hopefully informative. Kindest regards Pancho
