One of the best meals I have had in Dallas in recent years! Every bite was perfection and had depth of flavor. The balancing of ingredients while maximizing their flavors is elevated to an art here. We had the mussels and crudo as appetizers, I literally took a spoon full of the liquor from the mussels and drank it it was that good. The vinaigrette for the crudo paired with a blackberry had the perfect sweet, salty, savory profile. For entries we had the lamb and redfish, again, both just absolutely delicious. The lamb was so tender, braised for 12(?) hours and the redfish was poached to perfection. We had a side of the leeks, again, a flavor profile with crab and orange citrus that I have never tasted and one that I could not have been better. For dessert, the chocolate cake was a classic but elevated like no other chocolate cake we have ever had. Unreal. I cannot wait to be back! My husband and I really loved this whole experience. I entered the restaurant on my own and got compliments on my Pink Floyd shirt from one of the servers, followed by compliments from the hostess on my whole outfit - way to be welcomed! Our server, Henry was so kind, well-spoken and polite! Really top notch service. I have so many food allergies and had a scare yesterday with an ER visit. Henry put me at ease and took the menu to the chef for special accommodations. He came back with handwritten stars by all the options they had that were safe for me and they were more than I expected, which also speaks so highly of the chef. They modified the mussels for us, which were still divine. My cauliflower steak was surprisingly amazing! Who knew cauliflower could be that interesting of a main platter?! I had the broccolini as a side, which was also yummy. Everything was perfectly seasoned and our Pinot Noir was also a wonderful addition. In the end, Henry presented me with two dessert options, which sounded like magic because I almost never can have dessert, being allergic to gluten and dairy. That was such a special treat! We enjoyed V.I.P. treatment beginning to end with very reasonable prices and a lovely, simple European chic decor French bistro style. I loved it and highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you Pillar! We’ll be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
