These folks have been brilliant with both service and food! I've come in at all hours, for business meetings, for personal meet-ups, even for dates, and they are always good, in my experience. Often busy but not overcrowded. Sometimes I order a quick take-out snack, but their upscale ballpark-type food is best consumed as a sit-down meal, so you have time and attention to really focus on the combination of delicious flavors. We had a really complicated order once, and they got it exactly right. Pine Tar Grill is a bar and restaurant themed to the San Francisco Giants. One thing I really love about their place is the smell of leather. You just can't beat that aroma for a feeling of being right behind home plate. Also, free street parking on Sundays! I hear they may be closing soon, which is a crying shame, so go now if you want to check 'em out.

The End of a Short Era This place was a sports oasis in a sea of insanity. I'll miss Alex and Donna the most. Like the Astros in the World Series against the Nationals, he fought an admirable battle, but came up empty. Perhaps if Jack Clark continued his initial association, it would have been a different story. Jack was larger than life and was very down to earth. I consider him a friend, just like Dave. I hope this special place, with it's sea of wooden baseball bats and priceless memorabilia, including World Series Rings, will re-emerge closer to the former AT&T Park, confusingly named Oracle. I wonder how many people went the wrong way on the Bay Bridge and ended up in a basketball arena, trying to find Giants' baseball stadium?

Sad this place is coming to a close. Was my favorite neighborhood bar that showed every sports game in town. Robert, the manager, always showed me love. Sebastian, the cook, was great at making tasty food as well. Best of luck to those who worked at Pine Tar Grill with all their future endeavors.
