Hands down one of the best meals we had in Corfu! If you're looking for incredible food in a gorgeous setting, Mezen is the place to go. We brought a table of 10 people—complete with a mix of different dietary needs—and they didn't miss a beat. Everything was seamless, the food was top-tier, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Huge thanks to Chris for taking such good care of us and bringing the banter all night long. 10/10 experience! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Great tasty veg options. The potato croquettes, stuffed peppers and salads were awesome.

We picked this restaurant because of its high rating. When we arrived, the restaurant was full, but after waiting for about 5–10 minutes, they found us a table. The table was super small, with no space around us, surrounded by other guests. We ordered tzatziki with pita, and two gyros. The tzatziki and Greek salad were pretty good. When ordering, we asked about the gyros, and the waiter also offered us a mixed version with both chicken and pork, which my boyfriend ordered. Only later did we find out that while the chicken gyros cost us 16 euros, the mixed version was 28 euros. Also, it was quite dry. This, together with the price for bottled water at 6 euros (in a different restaurant, it cost us 2) and one of the cheapest bottles of wine at 28 euros, gives us a little bit of a tourist trap vibe. Also, when it comes to the staff, we had a bit of mixed feelings. We could see they had their hands full handling so many tables in such a small area, one squeezed tightly onto another. While our main waiter was fine, we had an unpleasant experience when our main courses arrived. The small table still had plates from our appetisers on it, and when we were clearing the space out, the waiter passively aggressively hinted that we should do it faster and that it was somehow our fault. While I understand the dishes were probably heavy, I still think it’s unprofessional — the table should have been cleared first. I think just decreasing the number of tables would make the experience better for both the customers and staff in this restaurant.
