Came to The Purple Goat on our last night in town and had a really nice, quiet dinner. We came on a Saturday around 8 PM and the restaurant was pretty much dead, so if you’re looking for somewhere where you won’t have to wait for a table, seating should definitely be available. My boyfriend got the chicken fettuccine and a coconut mule, while I got the salmon bowl and a watermelon summer mule. Overall, the food was really good. The salmon bowl had a Mexican-inspired feel with the Spanish rice and salmon. Personally, I didn’t think the two worked particularly well together, but eating them separately, both the salmon and rice were really good. Our drinks were surprisingly similar in flavor. My boyfriend’s coconut mule didn’t have much coconut flavor until he mixed the drink, and then you could really taste it. He enjoyed his fettuccine so much that it was apparently good enough to make the meal onto his “order this again” list once we got home. Our waitress was really nice and attentive, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. We’d heard from several people that there isn’t a ton to do around town, especially with the Mayo Clinic bringing so many people in for appointments, so we were happy to just have a good meal and relax. Not necessarily a place I’d go for a lively Saturday night, but for a quiet dinner with good food and friendly staff, it did the job. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $10–20

Amazing food, showed concern for our being gluten free.
