Vidited this nice café when we were visiting Rye. We waited quite long for our food, which was ok, but nothing special, considering the price. We ordered 2 pineapple cheese paninis which were basically baguettes with a few bits of ungrilled pineapple in lots of cheese, served with chips. The chips were too oily. Staff was friendly. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40

Stopped in with the dogs for a cream tea at the Quayside Kitchen in Rye — perfect secluded spot, away from the hustle and bustle of the always horrendously busy High Street coffee spots. The scone was sublime, seemingly baked that day; the coffee was excellent (some of the cafes in town can be a bit hit and miss!). The staff couldn't have been more accommodating; would most definitely recommend. Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
