Absolutely — I’d add it near the end so the review builds from the food and service into the overall experience. The staff were excellent — really very good, every single one of them. The terrace where we sat was comfortable enough and, in itself, a pleasant place to dine. Unfortunately, the music coming from the hotel next door completely ruined the atmosphere of relaxed, fine dining. Apparently, this happens two nights a week, which is such a shame because it really affected the experience. We ordered à la carte and received quite a few extras, which was a lovely touch: some delicious onion soup, mini crackers with cream cheese, and the bread, which was served to us several times and was lovely. The buñuelos were just okay — they tasted much like ones we’ve had elsewhere. The solomillo, however, was fabulous, and the garnish was exquisite. For my husband, the vieira was also just okay, similar to others he’s had elsewhere, while his main course of cabrito was really very good. We were there for quite a long time, which was actually a positive — there was no feeling of being rushed, and the service was attentive and relaxed. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were also disappointing. The door of the women’s bathroom didn’t lock, and there were used hand towels scattered all over the floor, which didn’t give a particularly good impression. It’s just such a shame about the music from next door, as it completely undermined the atmosphere the restaurant was trying to create. To add to that, someone at a nearby table lit up a very large cigar, although I believe the restaurant is non-smoking. Overall, there were some excellent elements, particularly the staff, the solomillo and the cabrito, but the noise from next door and some of the other details really detracted from what could otherwise have been a lovely fine-dining experience.
