The Honest Review of the New Halwa Puri Breakfast Spot in North Houston We went for a Halwa Puri breakfast. It's a newly opened restaurant and a branch of a famous name from Karachi, now in North Houston. Let me tell you guys in detail, and this will help the owner take corrective actions as they are still in a new phase. We tried Halwa Puri, Chicken Patty, Aloo Samosa, Beef Samosa, Tea, Fries and Nuggets, and Sweet Lassi. First of all, as far as the puri is concerned, it is the biggest puri I have ever seen in Houston, with great taste. Well done. However, they need to improve the channa — the channa was not as good as the Halwa and Puri. They have to work on the channa taste, but I am not saying it’s bad; it’s between good and OK. The chicken patties were very good. The Aloo samosa was very good. The beef samosa was OK, not as delicious as the Aloo samosa. The kids' fries and nuggets were OK. As for the Sweet Lassi, they have to work on it because I had to add sugar to make it sweet, so the lassi was not up to the mark. They have to work on the sweet lassi. Last but not least, they have to work on their service. I will not count this as a negative because they are in a new phase, but what I feel is that the servers didn’t know which table had which order — they were asking, "Is this your order?" to identify the right customer. That could cause real tension when the tables are full. Secondly, I ordered tea, which they didn’t deliver, and I also forgot to ask them. I realized later that I didn’t receive the tea, so this falls under low-quality service. Overall, in North Houston, this is an excellent addition. For my family, it’s a new Halwa Puri location, and I don’t have to go south to have it. They serving Halwa Puri Daily and open earlier than the other restaurants in North Houston. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
