We stopped by Ricco Gelato for an afternoon treat and absolutely loved it! We both ordered the pistachio gelato affogato, and it was fantastic. The gelato portion was incredibly generous, rich, and creamy with great pistachio flavor. The espresso shot poured over it was smooth and delicious, perfectly complementing the gelato. I really appreciated the beautiful presentation when it was brought to the table, and the thoughtful touch of chopped pistachios on top added both flavor and a nice crunch. It felt like a step above a typical affogato — elegant and satisfying. The store itself was spotless, including the bathrooms, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. This was the perfect sweet pick-me-up on a nice afternoon. If you’re in the Ladera Ranch area, I highly recommend stopping in to try Ricco Gelato. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the first time I have ever left a review for anything or place in both Yelp and on Google at the same time. This place is fantastic overall. From the minute we walked in and was greeted with a smile and helpful recommendations to the creamiest gelato I’ve ever had to the owner sharing the history of how they got started. What a pleasant experience overall. I had the banana split and my honey had the pistachio affogato. Of course I had to try his affogato because the presentation of it itself is an art form. Loved the fact that there is more gelato than espresso, which they brew fresh then pour into a chilled cup and saucer. It’s so pretty and delish. Stop in and check it out
