I had the vegan plate with the hummus, tofu, pizza dough bites and arancini - it was okay.. I also had a salad which was actually decent. I feel like this place is over hyped maybe because there aren’t a lot of fully plant based restaurants here. We also got the tiramisu which was again just okay. One thing I wanted to mention was that the pasta actually looks great. I wanted to try the caico e Pepe only to be told that they weren’t serving pasta but the person behind me ordered pasta and got the caico e Pepe. I’m not sure where the misunderstanding was but I was pretty disappointed because again the pasta actually looks good!! Maybe I’ll be back to try it, maybe not. Tbd Also their menu’s are annoying - it’s digital and in order to see what eat of the menu items are in English you have to click each item. It was inconvenient and would have just preferred them to have a separate English menu or the English description on the main menu page. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20

We ate at Rifugio Romano a couple of times in May. We didn’t have a reservation, but the friendly and welcoming staff still managed to find us a table, which we really appreciated. The place was always busy, and the service was great. The food was delicious, with lots of options. We tried Arancino, Crocchette, Moscardini, Carbonara, Amatriciana, Cannelloni, and Tagliata di Carne Vegetale Stampata in 3D. Our favorites were the Moscardini and Cannelloni. We’d definitely recommend Rifugio Romano and would happily come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
