Gelato is crafted in house by the two girls who work there. I got pistachio and almond and salted caramel. I would recommend the combo. Creamy and balanced flavors. But small serving size and no perks like drizzled chocolate like you get in La Romana or Frigidarium. Limited flavor selection as well.

Nice neighbourhood gelato shop! I tried the almond and orange water +pistachio.Nice flavor! Good price and quality.Maybe the portion are small compared to others.The lady that served me was very polite. Plus they keep the ice cream in steel container always a good sign

I stayed in Rome for three days and came to Gelateria Maximo every single day – that’s how good it was. I was on a two-week trip through Italy and tried gelato in many places, but nothing compared to this. Pistachio and stracciatella were my personal favorites. The staff is friendly, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is cozy. Without a doubt, the best gelateria in Italy for me!
